Vagina diamond.

Hello onlookers! It was a crazy week, mostly entertaining company, seeing Quiet Life and Titles rock CT on Friday then went to Northampton, MA for Festival Ecstatique which brought many highlights, including meeting the folks from the Heartworm and Green Panda Press and seeing J Mascis shred on an acoustic guitar running through numerous pedals for like 10 minutes straight. Have you heard that new Dinosaur Jr record by the way? I knew it’d be good, but holy shit it is awesome. I wanted to strike up a chat about him shredding on Beachwood Sparks’ legendary opus “Once We Were Trees”, but I decided to put my fandom back in my pocket and depart for Connecticut.
Also picked up some vinyl at Dynamite Records, a shop I remember finding in NoHo randomly a couple years back but had trouble finding again. Not this time however, and it was wonderful. I went twice and came back with Van Morrison’s “Tupelo Honey”, David Crosby’s “If I Could Only Remember My Name”, Francoise Hardy’s “Greatest Hits” and Crosby Stills Nash & Young’s “Deja Vu”. All sound like (vegan) butter.
Via Audio in Connecticut tomorrow with hype machine My Brightest Diamond. Also, something is cooking up (get excited but not TOO excited) that will hopefully pop up this week or early next week. Stoked. Today’s art is something I found on Google images while looking for a photo reference diamond. Killer.
Off to enjoy a brand new King Of the Hill. Hank is making friends with the hippies at the co-op grocery store. So good.
