Killer Unicorns Arts & Crafts

Good evening!

If you’ve been to the website in the last month, you may have noticed I secretly made a huge update (aka pretty much redoing the whole thing). This whole thing is powered by Wordpress, easy to update and create while not looking completely cheesy (for a good website, please refer to the new pinkteeth.com).

Everything is available in the store, including the long awaited Laughing Owls cassettes. However, because of the holidays, nothing will be shipped out until January 3rd. If you do order between now and then, I’ll throw in a “thanks for being patient/I hate holiday shipping” present. Also new to the store is ”Battle Scars & Potted Plants”, a collection of prose by myself that I made for a festival in MA, but kept a couple behind. The Laughing Owls cassette is limited to 50 copies and the “book” is limited to 15. Both are numbered and sexy. There’s a few more Adventurers cd-rs available, and old boy is working on something new that looks to be a split release between us and mjg’s upcoming brainstorm of a label. Exciting.

For some reason our Paypal buttons haven’t been working, so just send money to info@pinkteeth.com and just leave what you want in the notes. I’ll try to get that fixed asap, however it really only will slow you down a couple of seconds. Also, SUBSCRIBE so you don’t miss out on anything and get it before anyone else can. I’m planning something special for the end of ‘07 for all the current subscribers so don’t slack!

Coming up is cassettes from the super amazing Quincy Quartz, Papermoons and possibly something with an old friend, provided he has the time to throw something together. Possibly another book, a couple of screen printed posters and more.

It wouldn’t be an update from me without an apology so here goes!

I apologize in the delays of the Laughing Owls’ cassette (which still fucking rules). Moving and everything has thrown the project out of whack, but I am just about caught up. Next week there will be a preorder option (if you’re a Killer Unicorns subscriber, do not fret!) and hopefully one week or two after that they’ll go out.

The next project will be an art print, then a poem (either one or in small book form in collaboration with The Lion & the Wire, the book company I do) and then another cassette. Hopefully I can tell you who soon.
From there? I have finding a lot of inspirado in the labels of past, just making it happen quickly and crafty. It was the reason this project was created, and while I never forgot, I’m very into it right now. I think we will expand beyond cassettes and cd-rs to vinyl, with hand made covers. That will be fun. I suggest subcribing if you want to make sure you get something, everything is going to be VERY limited.

There are still a few Adventurers cd-r’s left, but not many. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

As we get older, its understandable and almost admirable to take a different route; to slow down a bit. But to those who can look back and take another listen to their roots, appreciate them and not disown them: you are beautiful.

The Laughing Owls cassette got pushed back. Hopefully they’ll be done next month, I hit an art snag. Whoops! There’s always a plan b though.

Adventurers plays their first show ever at the L Bar, in Waterbury, Connecticut. When? May 26th sucka, with everybody’s favourite brothers Bruhder. Who are +3 strong now.

Holy cows and beans, we’re on the world wide webbing. What a strange and insane future we live in! Did you know it’s almost 2007? I didn’t either. I actually had gotten rid of all calendars until this christmas when all I got was calendars. Okay, okay, you caught me. That’s only 0% true.

Thanks for supporting this lil cassette/cd-r/love label I’ve got going on. It took a couple months of planning and begging, but we’ve got 3 releases in the works. First up is Adventurers and it’s a lovely one. It’s in and out before you know it but leaves you smiling and wanting more. Or maybe that’s just me. I don’t know, you’ll have to check it out yourself. I’ll have some copies of this adorable cd-r in a week or so. Then you can buy one for 5 doll hairs (which is Killer Unicorns for “dollars”), shipping included. You’ll get some rad pins and shizz too. I’ll maybe even throw in some hair. I have lots of it lately.

Then the next month (that’s February I think, I don’t have a calendar for 2007 and the months may have changed HINT HINT) we drop (that’s Killer Unicorns for “release”) a cassette from Laughing Owls. I listen to it a lot, it’s great. Really meaningful and dashing. It’s getting mastered then will be off to the races!

What about the 3rd one? Why that’s from Friends of Fine Arts Collective which is me and… well friends. Duh. It’s written, it’s demolicious and eager to be recorded for realz (no take backs) and into your ears. Gently though. Ear aches are the worst!

After that? There’s plans, sure, but nothing solid. I’ll let you know. Watch this space. I’ll post here even if there isn’t news. Pinky swear. Kiss it! Okay, now it’s official. Whew, for a second there I totes thought you were going to bail on me.
