| News 29 May 2008  I am a little early as most of the cool big news is coming in the next couple of weeks, but there are some little things going on that warrant a hello. Most of those things are that every section except the contact one has been updated, some are big and some are small: you can find out about some new bands we're working with, what's coming up next, who's doing a gig soon (hint: most everyone), a few new songs in the song player and some new media pictures I worked on while coming back from Cleveland (or to, I can't remember). I think everything looks very pretty right now. Also, Titles are having their record release show on Friday at Cafe 9. They are friends of the label and one of my favourite Connecticut bands so it's well worth checking out. The gig is free and "Up With the Sun", their new album is $10. From what I've heard of it, it's incredible. Congrats to the band and Safety Meeting for a job well done. Go to their website for more information. Talk to you all soon! 27 April 2008  You’ve got Some “Star-Spangled” Nails In your coffin, kid. That’s what They’ve done for you, Son. Hello friends, family and lovers. I haven't had much to say, so no need to speak. That is mostly true now, but being quiet for months on end is no fun for those of you who are kind enough to bring your eyes over to my little home here on the internet. Thanks for stopping by once again, please come on in. The spring has sprung, so the fireplace is lull at last for the seasons and now it is time to cut winter hair and enjoy the the arts my fellow humans are creating. It's been a long time coming, but 2 of my favourite music makers are doing vinyl releases on the Teeth: come this summer you can enjoy Bears' "Shortest Day Of the Year" ep on wax, bringing it on it's last possible format (thanks to the band for the cd and mp3 versions and Best Kept Secret for the cassette release). There has been much talk with my good friend Charlie Bear about doing more with them in the future, which I would love. Bears have been making some of my favourite music these past couple of years and are also some of the nicest people ever born from their respective mothers and fathers. The other release is a vinyl version of Suzannah Johannes' ep which I have been listening to on repeat for months now. This one is a pleasure in so many ways: Suzie is fantastic, they are songs written by my new friend Hanz Bronze and it is a co-release from the cd version from our best friends at Range Life Records. Oh joy. I hope to go to Lawrence soon to say hello to everyone. I adore them very much. There will probably be more, I am sure, but right now I am going to keep my mouth shut and my smile wide. I saw Dri in NoHo the other night which was lovely (as well as the vegan Chinese I ate), this Thursday's LOST was a great episode and my tax check arrived. I love you both the most. Two killer Connecticut shows going down in the next couple of days: tonight is Bear Hands at Wesleyan University for free and tomorrow is Karl Blau (who's "Beneath Waves" lp is one of the best records of the decade) is at the blooming Heirloom Arts Theater in Danbury for $5. Fuck yeah! 06 January 2008  Well it took awhile (I actually finished it a couple of days ago, don't tell anybody), but it's finally here: our best of 2007 lists, by our friends and family! Nicole (friend of the label) is now a part of their ever evolving lineup now (though I feel like this is the last evolution of the band, like when man evolved from ape and such... sorry fans who don't subscribe to this belief, we can still be friends though). I saw her with them on Friday and it was a fantastic dynamic. Also, I've heard Monitor and the Merrimac is playing who put out one of my favourite records of '07 and is a fine representative of quality Connecticut music. Besides a sexy Pitchfork review, they contributed previously unreleased track "My Boo" to blog It's Hard to Find A Friend's holiday compilation "Peace On Earth". It's $7 and 100% of the proceeds go to Toys For Tots. You can find this hotness right here. The blog also named Via Audio's new record their #1 of 2007!! How rad! In the meantime, "My Boo" will be on the vinyl version of "Saysomethingsaysomethingsaysomething" from us in 2008. It's also on our player to the left of this (along with The Kid's remix of "Neighbour's" by The bird and the vine and a Laughing Owls track) so check it out. Also, the Audio kiddies appeared on NPR's Fair Game a little while back, playing some old gems and an unreleased jam called "Digital", which is a live favourite if you've seen the band lately. More awesome things coming soon! 27 November 2007 Hello friends! Golly! As long as this label has been an idea and a presence on the Internet, the promise of a website has been a lovely, lovely dream. There has been countless false starts and one pages, but here we are. I think we can all breathe a collective sigh, and begin to look ahead. Closing out 2007 will be the Dead Science picture disc and the vinyl version of our friends Via Audio's newest full length. The picture disc will be good to go in a matter of weeks and ready to order, and the Via Audio 12" should be popping up in January. Hot! Keep your eyes here and in our store for smiles. From there we will be taking a couple of months off in 2008 to prep some new hotness. Coming up will be the long awaited CD single for Cavaliers' "K-10" with 3 unreleased songs, the vinyl version of Quiet Life's upcoming "Act Natural", a full length from Bruhder along the way, a full length from Laughing Owls and some secret treasures that will soon be announced in your ears and one day in your hands. There is much to add here on the site, including some new songs for the player, more art in the gallery (found in the media section) from our friends and some other fun. Please check back with us in the next week for all of that. As always, our newly launched blog is the best bet for up to date news and time wasting activities.
